2015 Nissan Murano Production Underway
The futuristic, next-generation Nissan crossover isn’t here just to change the game but make a statement as well. Down in the little city of Canton, Mississippi, the 2015 Nissan production is underway; excitement levels are running high considering that production of a vehicle that has made world wide news is taking place in such a small, off-the-map place.
Canton has now become Nissan’s worldwide hub for producing the all-new Murano, but it won’t be the only plant considering the high-demand for Nissan’s redesigned crossover. Considering that Nissan is a foreign car company, with its roots in Japan and its manufacturer headquarters specially located in Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Japan, this is a leap in Nissan’s production strategy to have this spotlight engulfed vehicle be “built where it sells.”
The Nissan Canton Vehicle Assembly Plant is well-equipped for this feat seeing as the 2015 Nissan Murano is the eighth Nissan vehicle model to be built here and will be “assembled on the same line as the Xterra, Frontier, Titan and Armada.”
The 2015 Nissan Murano hasn’t even hit the streets yet, and already in its pre-production and production days that are now underway, it has a thrilling reputation to live up to. What’s more, production of the all-new Murano has created 400 new supplier jobs alone at the Canton plant, which are just a sliver of the 1,300 jobs that Nissan has recently added.
Again, we can’t emphasize what exciting news this is for Nissan here in the U.S. Mississippi in particular has reason to be proud because just eleven years ago, a vehicle had never been built in this state and now this globally-anticipated vehicle is being exported to huge parties all over the world. Furthermore, Murano is being recognized as the most technologically advanced vehicle ever built in Canton. To say the least, expectations are high—on a worldwide level.
